Technically... Dinosaurs are not reptiles. Think of them as massive scaly birds. That's basically exactly what they are. (at least the Theropods are)

Lies, scientists have concluded that most (if not all) dinosaurs had/have feathers. Also birds are a group of dinosaurs.

And a lot of dinosaur species had feathers ;)
but since i`ve seen the movie jurassic park as a child, lizards will always remind me of velociraptors :D

Absolutely gorgeous photograph, but as a dino nerd, I must point out that lizards don't look anything like dinosaurs. Dinosaurs have column-like legs like birds or mammals, whereas lizards have splayed limbs. Furthermore, lizard tails drag on the ground, whereas dinosaur tails were lifted off the ground. Then there's the fact that dinosaurs walked on their toes, while lizards use the whole foot. Finally, although it's not clear from this photo, lizard skulls don't have the ante-orbital fenestra (the opening between the nostril and eye socket).

Okay, I'm done! Definitely faving this though.

Lacerta agilis. I have a special place in my heart for these cute 'uns after I did my Master of Science exam paper on them.
