First of all: I´m still alive :P Sorry you all didn`t hear much from me the last weeks. I had a lot of work and some projects i wanted to push forward. The Picture above shows me "at work" and is a hint that the "LUX" series is nearly complete. that means with the last Picture i`ll upload there will come again a Journal with history of this awesome abandoned place. I also wanted to tell you that i`ve tried out this new Vero app everybody was talking about and i think its fun and good. At the moment i`m not on Instagram, so for me Vero works well. So if you`re on Vero too i would be happy you`d follow me there :)

it's mostly a tragic story of how a place becomes a lost place: investors who ran out of money, children who did not want the heritage, or people who just did not have children. Buildings whose substance is already so destroyed that it is not worth preserving or nobody wants to buy it. Thousands of places, thousands of stories ... Sometimes, however, the tragedy begins even before the place is abandoned. In 2014, I visited an abandoned confectionery and chocolate factory. This place was definitely "the hardest to get into" place i ever visited. Located in a small village, surrounded by many puplic places and a lot of watchful eyes, this public swimming pool was closed 14 years ago. it felt a littlebit like star-wars..the only weak spot in the death star was a tiny hole and so it was here: a tiny hole and a long way through the underground, passing heating pipes and dead rats...
